Trace Heating Installation Guide
The following diagram illustrates how trace heating systems can be installed on different types of pipework and fittings such as valves and pipe supports, where extra heat can easily be lost. Below is a typical frost protection scheme that shows how the various First Trace Heating Direct products work together to provide effective and reliable protection. To operate the system with minimum power consumption a Sensaire ambient sensing temperature control is recommended; this should be set to activate the system at 5 degrees Celsius. It is possible to run several heating circuits from a single power supply point, and with Tee connections and loops, the most complex pipe system can be trace heated.
