Warehouse Operative

Role Overview

Our mission at First Trace Heating Direct is to be the brand of choice for water and electric underfloor heating and trace heating, through our commitment to people, trusted innovative products and systems and industry leading solution driven customer service and expertise.

We're looking to recruit an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join our friendly fast paced team, who is passionate about delivering a right first time approach for our customers.

The key role of this position is to aid in the smooth running of the warehouse and ensuring all orders are assembled, picked, packed and dispatched on time and in an accurate manner.

As part of a small team, the successful candidate would prepare orders, replenish stock on the shelves, assemble components, and ensure that the warehouse environment remains organised and tidy.

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Some previous assembly and/or warehouse experience would be ideal but is not essential
  • A full driving licence would be preferred but not essential as there may be a requirement to do deliveries

Export & Import Coordinator

Role Overview

Our mission at First Trace Heating Direct is to deliver trusted innovative products and systems across the world, through our commitment to people and industry leading solution driven customer service and expertise.

We're looking to recruit an Export and Import Coordinator to take responsibility for pricing and quotations for our overseas orders, pro-actively organise and coordinate all export activity at First Trace Heating Direct Ltd, take control of and drive efficiencies around our import activity, and to be a professional and friendly point of contact for our suppliers and highly valued overseas customers.

The successful candidate will have a dynamic personality with a great deal of ‘get up and go’, an exquisite attention to detail and a solution driven attitude. At First Trace Heating Direct Ltd we stop at nothing to excel at customer service!

You will be flexible, open to change and agile with a natural ability to multi-task and a willingness to get things done.

A minimum of 2 years export experience is required and a sound knowledge of exporting specifically to Middle eastern areas is desirable.

As a smaller part of your remit, you will also be contacting our customers via email and telephone to follow up on outstanding invoices, drive down any outstanding monies and provide copy statements as and when required as well as provide any other support within your skillset as we are a very hands on team here at First Trace Heating Direct Ltd and we all work together, even if at times those tasks fall outside of our core job roles.

Responsibilities

Export Duties:

  • Providing accurate quotations for export orders including transport costs
  • Accurate completion of export orders to agreed shipping deadlines
  • Carefully and accurately prepping export paperwork including appropriate certification and fulfilment of all necessary customs requirements
  • Booking courier collections
  • Tracking the shipment journey through customs
  • Maintenance of our pricing spreadsheets and accurate record keeping via our systems
  • Archiving and filing of export GRE orders
  • Invoicing, planning and scheduling of export orders
  • Implementation of an export quality checking process
  • Liaising with export customers via email and telephone where necessary
  • Supporting the Managing Director with all export requirements
  • Import Duties:

  • Obtain pricing quotations for imported goods from 3 suppliers
  • Compare prices and select most suitable
  • Arrange the shipment
  • Monitor the import process to actively reduce any delays
  • Provide good internal communication around expected delivery dates
  • Credit Control Duties:

  • With information provided by our accounts team, make professional contact with our customers via email and/or telephone to drive down any outstanding monies
  • Provide customers with copy invoices and/or statements as required
  • Follow up on customer promises to ensure payments are received into the business
